Artist Opportunities
The Huntington Artist Hub offers a vibrant, inclusive incubator where artists from all disciplines converge to push the limits of their craft, ignite bold new ideas, and cultivate their creative vision. Aligned with The Huntington’s commitment to advancing the future of American theatre, the Artist Hub provides a dynamic, collaborative space for both emerging and established artists to develop their work, engage with peers, and receive mentorship that nurtures artistic excellence and innovation.
Through fellowships, observerships, workshops, partnerships, and exhibition opportunities, The Huntington amplifies new voices, fosters cross-disciplinary collaboration, and empowers artists to connect with the diverse, evolving artistic landscape. By cultivating a skilled, visionary workforce, the Artist Hub shapes the future of the arts—sparking new possibilities, igniting transformative change, and inspiring the next generation of creative leaders.
Assistant Directors and Emerging Observing Artists
Each season The Huntington opens applications to the Assistant Directors and Emerging Observing Artists Fellowships. These paid opportunities give early, emerging and mid-career artists the opportunity to collaborate with and observe top-tier creative teams at a leading regional theatre. This program continues our commitment to providing career opportunities for the ever-growing community of Boston-based artists.
Applications for the 2025-2026 Season will open this spring. Please check back for more details.
Artist Exhibition Program
The Huntington Theatre invites visual artists and curators to propose exhibitions for its two gallery spaces: The Gallery at The Huntington Theater and The Nook at the Calderwood Pavilion. Selected artists/curators will receive a small stipend and a majority percentage of sales. The Huntington Theater gallery team is prepared to offer deep collaboration on installation, marketing, and community engagement. We encourage individual artists, curators with individual or group exhibitions and artist/curator duos to consider submitting proposals.
Submissions are closed and will reopen in the spring. Check back for more details.
