Kenneth Cheeseman

Kenneth Cheeseman has been in several productions at The Huntington, American Repertory Theatre, and most of the professional theaters in the Boston area. Ken was trained at the Trinity Rep Conservatory and owes his theatrical inspiration to the incomparable artistic director Adrian Hall and the amazing company of actors he assembled at Trinity Repertory Theatre. Ken’s other influences are world renowned improvisation teacher, Keith Johnstone, voice teacher Kristin Linklater, and the genius of director, acting teacher and close friend, Andrei Belgrader.

He has had the privilege of working at regional theatres from California to Connecticut as well as numerous Off Broadway venues. Ken refers to his film career as a series ‘Where’s Waldo?’ appearances. These roles have afforded him the opportunity to be directed by Martin Scorsese, Clint Eastwood, Frank Oz, and David O. Russell, among others, and to act opposite the likes of Fran McDormand, Ben Kingsley, Max Von Sydow, Jennifer Lawrence, Stanley Tucci, Tony Shaloub, Edward Norton, and Richard Jenkins.   

Ken has taught in schools, colleges, universities, juvenile detention facilities, community centers in the US and internationally. He was a Senior Artist in Residence at Emerson College for 17 years and is currently an occasional guest lecturer at Columbia University for the Obama Foundation Scholars Program and the Social Impact Fellowship. He recently became president of the board of the Becket Arts Center, a small rural arts center that promotes and supports the artist in everyone who comes through its doors. 

An avid bicyclist, Ken bicycled across the United States twice and Canada once. He is a committed bicycle commuter and has ridden thousands of miles on the streets of cities like Boston, New York, San Francisco, London, Lisbon, Rome, and the highlands of Scotland on his way to work. He currently rides the hills of the Berkshires, where he lives high atop October Mountain with his wife, actor and voice teacher, Paula Langton, and his two dogs, Quinn and Cheddar.
