Neema Avashia, she/her, is a Civics teacher in Boston Public Schools, where she has worked since 2003. She was recognized as the city-wide Educator of the Year in 2013. As an Asian American teacher and writer, Neema has published several pieces focused on race, class, and inequities in education.

Garry Armstrong
From 1970 to 2001, Garry Armstrong was among New England’s most easily recognized and respected television journalists. He covered breaking news, features and politics. He knew and was known by the players in Boston and throughout New England, in politics, education, the religious establishment and more. His extensive coverage of minority and ethnic issues and his reputation for fair-mindedness earned him a welcome in every community.

Phillip Martin
Phillip Martin, senior investigative reporter for The GBH News Center for Investigative Reporting, is a multi-award winning journalist. Honors include the 2019 National Edward R. Murrow Award for Investigative Reporting, the National Society of Professional Journalists 2017 Sigma Delta Chi award for Best Investigative Reporting and the 2014 national Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Investigative Reporting.
